What do I need for my first NASCAR event?

It’s NASCAR Chicago this coming weekend in Chicago, where the very first-ever street race will be contested in the NASCAR Cup Series. Imagine the cars racing at top speed, drifting and pushing the vehicles to their limits in a neighborhood where the speed limit used to be 35 miles per hour.

The smell, the excitement, the vibe — everything is so thrilling, except that we hope the event could be held in San Francisco Bay Area instead, where Guide & Buy is based.

This reminds me of the Macau Grand Prix, where cars and motorcycles race in a small yet historically important city. Everyone is excited to watch the races from their own windows. The Melco Hairpin, a 180-degree turn with a width of only 7 meters (23 feet) at its narrowest part, is an iconic section of the race that I can never forget as a kid raised in Asia.

I can totally understand why people are so excited in Chicago, and I would also love to fly over to witness this very first event. So what do I need for my first NASCAR event? Let’s see what Guide & Buy has to say.

While there are a few more search results, it’s always important to stay hydrated and keep myself dry if it rains. According to the weather forecast, there will be scattered thunderstorms in Chicago on the first of July, but on the second, which is the day of the race, it will be partly cloudy. Considering the unpredictable weather, it would be wise to bring a bit more just to be safe, ensuring that my NASCAR experience won’t be affected by the ever-changing conditions.

Let’s enjoy the race and kick start our lovely summer!
